The Left Hand of God is the first of Paul Hoffman’s remarkable new trilogy which follows the adventures of Cale, a young boy battling against a brutal religious regime. Cale is pursued by the violent Lord redeemers after witnessing a terrible secret of the One True Faith. It is being talked about as the fantasy novel of the year.

Listen to our exclusive audio interview and don’t forget to enter our competition after the interview to win a copy of the book – we have 3 to give away thanks to Jessica and the team at Penguin.

Also, thanks for the interview, its great to hear writers talking about their writing. His view is quite refreshing, comparing writing to playing saying that he writes in sessions to keep it pleasurable, rather than what I usually hear writers say – about aiming for a daily word count, regardless of their mood or inclination to write.

His way sounds like a better way to write, and is obviously very productive while still managing to keep things fresh & fun!
