Richard & Judy Summer Reads 2008: Alternative List

Sounds like you have already read "Duma Key" by Stephen King then, which is a shame because with it's beach front Florida setting I found this a great book to read on holiday. I would have included "The Ruins" by Scott Smith as a great summer holiday read. Certainly easy to read and the story moves along at a cracking pace. Also would possibly save yourselves a few pounds as you decicde not to go on the excursion to the Inca temples after all...
