Posted on: Nov 19, 2008 1:40:12 PM I love my ereader! I bought mine about a month ago and it is a truly fantastic device. The text is clear, the page change doesn't fuss me and there is no back light to hurt my eyes The only problem is that often paper books are cheaper than downloads and there are better offers in the shops! But I have been downloading from the US (due to earlier release dates and cheaper prices) and it is saving me money and shelf space. I'm sure I'll still buy some books. As for the demise of the publishing industry, at the moment I don't see that happening. The ereader isn't widely spread enough. However, I don't see how you can loan people ebooks so in the end if most people move across to this format, I think they'll make more money rather than less! . |

Posted on: Oct 18, 2008 12:00:02 PM Quote by Emma: have you ever read anything by Kate Atkinson? her first 4 novels generally light reads and as far as I can remember nothing too depressing even remember them being humorous in parts I've been trying to read some Kate Atkinson novels as I'm going to see her on Monday with a friend. I have discovered she is not an author for me. I've tried 'Case Histories', 'Emotionally Weird' and I managed to finish them but I started 'Behind The Scenes At The Museum' last night and unfortunately cannot finish them. |
