I found it a deeply moving account of life during Nazi Germany. The characters were believable and each one had their own part to play as the story moved on.

The passion for books that was held in the main character's life was powerfully portrayed and the hidden Jew brought a whole new depth to the story. I enjoyed every page, cried at the end and would recommend this book to anyone. |
