I LOVE this book !! Francesco tells how his ancestral history is inextricably intertwined with that of Venice. His knowledge and enthusism for the city is infectious. This book gives a unique Venetian insight into the inner workings of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Betrayal, lies, murder and complicity, a mountain of grief, forgiveness and human frailty are all in this book. My Mom raved about this book for ages to me, but I found the story outline on the UK edition did not catch my attention, she suggested I look up the US edition. I found the US edition...

A MUST READ !!! Larsson has woven a compelling multi-layered, multi-charactered tale. The novel is detailed, striking and absolutely entralling from beging to end, I look forward to the sequels very much. The character of Lisbeth is very well written and distinetive. A keeper on my bookshelf.

A great book, one of my fave's that I re-read alot. It has a totally engrossing story that mixes Atlantis myths, pyramids, cryptology, archeology, linguistics and the end of the world. All in all I think this book is worth another re-read.
