Two big new crime novels this month: Peter James's Dead Man's Footsteps & Andrew Gross's The Dark Tide. The plots from each? Dead Man's Footsteps: a seemingly successful but struggling businessman gets caught in a New York terrorist attack & uses it to fake his death, only to have his secret new life unraveled years later by a former lover & a determined detective. The Dark Tide: a seemingly successful but struggling businessman gets caught in a New York terrorist attack & uses it to fake his death, only to have his new life unraveled years later by his former wife & a determined detective.

If you're a fan of either author or both - or just find the coincidence of two unrelated but incredibly similar themed books coming out almost simultaneously - it's worth checking them out. One is better than the author's last, the other isn't. |

I really like both authors - so will probably have to get both...ahh.. the pile of books just gets bigger.. Strange that the publishers didn't think to stagger the dates of publication though Steve |
