A couple of weeks ago I was reading this book and was about half way through it when I managed to lose it. At the time it didn't surprise me as my room was a tip, but even after extensive tidying I haven't managed to find it! How is it possible?! I want my book back!

Could it be anything to do with the title? Or, is that just coincidence?

Haha it's quite possible that it may have something to do with the title... I blame being at uni though!

Check your local hedges. I always found that there was lots of interesting stuff abandoned in hedges when I was at uni. Also, under car seats - always lots going on under car seats.

I found an apple under my car seat once. It wasn't nice. |

I haven't looked under the car seat for months and almost dare not. As for the lost book, I had a hardback of Diary of a Scandal, by Zoe Heller, and promptly lost it. Someone has borrowed it and noone is owning up. Grrrr...

I just finished reading Notes on a Scandal by Zoe Heller. If you haven't managed to find your copy again I'd definitely suggest borrowing it or buying it or something, was a really good book!!

Your car seat, your best mate's car seat - whatever. It's well worth a look. I went to a mate's for the weekend last week & stupidly forgot my purse (don't ask how - it's all to do with swimming & changing bags - very dull) anyway, checked the car, found about a pound in small change in the doors & glove box etc. checked under the passenger seat - Robert's your mother's brother - £6, a modest but respectable budget for a nice homely weekend with some close friends; checking under your car seats - priceless!

I lost a book I was reading earlier this year and couldn't find it for months even after much searching and tidying. I eventually found it wedged between my bed/matress and the wall even though I'd looked down the side of the bed several times and changed the bed sheets on numerous occasions it only turned up when I moved the bed. I think the book gremlins had it and hid it there when they were done with it! Damn them!!
